A warm cup of blackstrap molasses milk in the morning or during an afternoon break offers many health benefits. Blackstrap molasses have been traditionally used as a dietary supplement for iron deficiency and to help prevent anemia. It’s rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Personally, I find the taste blackstrap molasses very cloying when taken on its own. That’s why it helps to mask the flavor by adding it to frothed plant-based milk or mixing with citrusy or sour drinks. Can’t handle hot drinks in the summer? No worries, you can swap warm milk for iced milk or orange juice.
